1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the National Perinatal Loss Collaborative ("Collaborative," "we," "our," or "us") platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you may not access or use the platform.
These Terms apply to all users, including individual members and organizational participants.
2. Purpose of the Platform
The Collaborative provides educational content, professional development, and peer learning opportunities related to perinatal loss care.
All content is provided for educational and informational purposes only.
3. No Medical Advice Disclaimer
The content, discussions, and resources provided through the platform:
• Do not constitute medical, legal, or professional advice
• Are not a substitute for independent clinical judgment
• Should not be relied upon as the sole basis for patient care decisions
Each user is solely responsible for their professional decisions and actions.
4. User Accounts and Access
To access certain features, users must create an account.
You agree to:
• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
• Notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion.
5. Membership, Fees, and Payment
Certain features of the platform require a paid membership.
By purchasing a membership, you agree:
• To pay all applicable fees as described at the time of purchase
• That memberships may renew annually unless otherwise stated
• That fees are non-refundable unless explicitly stated otherwise
We reserve the right to modify pricing or membership structure with notice.
6. License and Permitted Use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the platform for professional and educational purposes.
You may not:
• Copy, reproduce, distribute, or publicly display content without permission
• Use the platform for commercial resale or unauthorized purposes
• Share access credentials with others outside your authorized organization
7. Intellectual Property
All platform content—including courses, materials, toolkits, branding, and design—is owned by the Collaborative or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Unauthorized use may result in termination of access and legal action.
8. User Conduct
Your use of the platform is also governed by the Member Agreement and Code of Conduct.
We reserve the right to remove content or restrict access for behavior that violates these standards.
9. Platform Availability
We strive to provide a reliable platform but do not guarantee:
• Continuous or uninterrupted access
• That the platform will be error-free or secure at all times
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the platform at any time without notice.
10. Third-Party Services
The platform may include links or integrations with third-party services. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third parties.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
• The Collaborative is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• We are not responsible for outcomes related to the use of platform content
• Your use of the platform is at your own risk
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Collaborative, Jane’s Room, Return to Zero: HOPE, and their affiliates from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from:
• Your use of the platform
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your professional actions or decisions
13. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time, including for violations of these Terms, without refund in cases of misconduct.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law principles.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.
